Late Night, Early Morning?

It's 130AM on Friday, and I'm sitting here watching a boring planet/animal show.  I just can't seem to sleep.  I want to sleep, just can't.

My left thumb is throbbing and in pain.  I've put on some cream, my gloves, and heat.  Still a bit of pain.  I'm thinking maybe an Advil, but I don't want to be wiped in the more morning/ day.  Hopefully it will ease soon.

Saw NP Gabriele yesterday.  Just as I thought - A) she wasn't thrilled I didn't bring the pills, but ignored it and B) wanted me to stop the pills.....  But since I didn't bring the pills, she couldn't take them from me, she had to C) try to work with me about it.  She will not give me anymore of them as she doesn't think they are helping.  She wants me to asap do blood work to see where the TSH is, instead of waiting a 4 more weeks.  She is afraid I will hyperthyroid.

To be fair, I do understand the scare on her part.  She does have a responsibility and just to let me continue when she sees a super low TSH is something she needs to deal with.  She just can't allow me to continue and something happens.  She did agree if the TSH comes up, I could stay on it until I see the Diabetic Doctor/Specialist.  But if it didn't she wants me to stop or go from 120 mg to 30 mg.  THAT would be more of a health issue!!!!!  You can't just do that with the thyroid hormone and not has a reaction.

She doesn't believe in the thyroid hormone, she said that Lindsay will probably agree with her (Lindsay is my original NP, coming back end of March) and she said that the Diabetic doc probably won't agree with it either.  But if the Diabetic doc is ok with it, then she won't say anything about it, and that doc can then write the script, she will not do it.

After 'discussing' it for a while, I backed down since I could see she couldn't bend.  And I knew Naturopath Dr Christy would deal with it.

I decided I was going to wait as long as possible to do the blood work, and if I get a call, I will say that I have decided to look for/ go to a naturopath who will prescribe the thyroid hormone and that way it will not be an issue for her or Lindsay.  Or the Diabetic Doc (whose name I just can't remember at this moment)

I had said that I was happier, felt better etc.  That I didn't want to go onto synathroid or chemical drug and feel like crap as I did all last year.  She said there was drugs they could do and figure out.  Yeah, I'm not going that route and feel like crap for so long again.  Especially when what I am on is helping me.  If she will give it a chance!!!  Thyroid hormone takes about 3 months to balance.

*********

I'm probably not sleeping, and watching this boring show, because I made a lot of 'balls'.  Snowballs and Coconut balls.  Both had a lot of coconut cream/butter etc.  I'm probably high on the fat.  Licked the spoons.  Don't know about that left thumb pain, where it came from.  Still there.  That poor thumb is the one Star bite too.

Speaking of him - he's doing well. I've been able to pat / scratch his head a bit more, especially in the evening.  Still skittish.

Few days ago Princess was bleeding from her mouth in the morning.  The morning of major freezing rain!  I freaked.  Dr Galina wasn't in, which with the weather actually was a good thing.  Went to the vet here who was very nice.  Dr Sarah figured, after exam and xray, that because she eats Stella Chewy dried raw that a bit of crumbled bone in it scraped her throat and caused it to bleed.  She had stopped after a while as we were there.  She seems like her normal Princess self.

Well, that's about it for this morning.  Think I will see if there's anything else on TV.
